So, the guys (and my wife) tell me I have no eye for aesthetics. I can agree with them when it comes to fashion sense because, admittedly,
I have none.
However, when it comes to accenting a beautiful area that has been simply carved out of the woods, I think I can hold my own. The picture here was taken near completion and was requested, by the customer, to be on our website. It really turned out to be something, in the end. Lots of changes along the way nearly drove the guys crazy, but the customer had a vision and it's our job to make it a reality. Fantastic work guys. Every single one of you has one of your ideas on display in this shot.
There's a person that needs to be highlighted here and it isn't one of us.
Mrs. Smith of the Salvation Army called me in 2021, stating she had no exterior lights working at their building and it was approaching bell ringer season. I purchased the lights and then got completely swamped. The job was over two hours away and with a lack of help at the time, I just couldn't get there. I delivered the lights and made my apologies and wished her the best of luck.
Unbeknownst to me, she couldn't find another contractor and so, called me back two years later on the off chance I would have the time.
Having found good people by then, we most certainly did and were able to light the place up prior to Christmas.
So no, not glamorous, but this old building with boring lights has become a source of our pride. We were given another opportunity because we were honest to begin with and we're grateful for that. Thank you Mrs. Smith.
